Video API

A self-hosted video transcoding service built with Elixir and powered by the powerful FFMPEG.

New Now supports four formats: 1080p, 720p, 480p and 360p.

Targets HLS

HLS is the industry standard created by apple and used by major video publishers such as Twitch and Youtube among others.

FFMPEG under the hood

Uses the battle tested FFMPEG wrapped in an elixir flow to give high-performance output with only free flags enabled. This enables high-throughput, completely open source video transcoding.

Dynamic Quality

Thanks to the power of HLS, dynamic quality adjustment to video can be made on the fly, similar to how any other professional video host manages video quality.

Four quality formats

In order to ensure a smooth viewing experience regardless of the device or connection that the video is being viewed on, this service transcodes video into the four main formats used by most production websites, 1080p, 720p, 480p and 360p.
